
Though written over a century ago, the writings of John William Burgon (1813 – 1888) continue to hold their place in contemporary discussions concerning the authentic text of the Greek New Testament.
Dr. Burgon (sometimes referred to as “Dean Burgon” due to his appointment as the Dean of Chichester Cathedral) spent the last 30 years of his life defending what he called the “Traditional Text” against critics.
